The best Late Bottled Vintage port currently on the market, according to Decanter magazine, and one that Butlers has in stock and enjoys regularly. A lovely Christmas present don't you think?
Niepoort’s Late Bottled Vintage 2009 was given a wonderful endorsement in Decanter magazine this month. They reinforced the above statement with a score of 95/100 (18.5/20) points.
Here’s what they had to say about it:
“Ultra-traditional foot-trodden LBV from a super-ripe year: fresh cherry and raspberry fruit, wonderful finesse, spicy tannins rising in the mouth yielding to fresh berry fruit on the finish. Bottled with a driven cork. Drink now or keep 10 to 15 years.”
