A true family affair, this estate is run by husband-and-wife team Nathalie and Gilles Fèvre, combining tradition with a modern, precise approach to winemaking. Their vineyards sit on classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils, the backbone of great Chablis.

In the glass:
Crisp, mineral and beautifully focused, this is classic Chablis, green apple, citrus and a flinty edge, with a clean, refreshing finish. Reliable, refined and quietly confident, a wine that doesn’t need to shout to impress. Much like the best dads.

Perfect with:
Fresh seafood, oysters or a simple roast chicken.

Quinta da Lagoalva is a historic, family-run estate on the banks of the Tagus River, where generations of fathers and sons have worked the land with a deep understanding of their vineyards and environment.

In the glass:
Smooth, fruit-driven and generous, with ripe red berries, soft spice and a gentle structure. Approachable, but with enough depth to keep things interesting. A proper “sit back and enjoy” red, unfussy, comforting and full of warmth. The kind of bottle that suits a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

Grilled meats, sausages or a classic barbecue spread.

After working together in the UK wine industry for many years, colleagues Laurie (a Scotsman) and Alistair (an Englishman) fulfilled their daydream of creating their own whisky.
