Niepoort Twins

Niepoort is an independent producer in the Douro. The family has been making wines since 1842 and have earned a reputation for creating original and distinct styles of wine. The mission is to maintain its position of "niche player", continuing to produce distinctive ports and Douro wines, combining centuries-old tradition with innovation.
Niepoort twins: Ruby Dum and Tawny Dee. Identical siblings born in Douro.

With time, Ruby Dum retains its youthful, strong character, dominated by red cherries and plums with great freshness from ageing in large wooden vats in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaiaith time, Tawny Dee acquires great wisdom and subtleness through ageing in small old oak casks exhibiting discrete characters of dried stone fruits.
