Valentines assistance with Butlers Wine Cellar

Valentines is coming on thick and fast, with all things turning a romantic shade of pink in due course. Nothing says I love you like a good bottle, and nothing says ‘I enjoy my own company just fine’ like one too so here are a few options we suggest to make Valentines this year a night to remember.

A couple of delicious suggestions from our spread of pink fizz..

Vida Al Camp Brut Rose NV

Cava is having a moment in the UK right now, with the realisation that it is top quality, delicious and incredibly well priced merging with the arrival of smaller and quality driven brands. This delicious number from Vida Al Camp balances fresh, flowery notes from the traditional cava grapes Xarel-Lo & Paralleda with a streak of cassis donated by the rose Cava staple, Trepat. Bright, zippy and great fun with the added bonus of being Organic/biodynamic.

Gusbourne Brut Rose 2013

The garden of England plays home to the spectacular Gusbourne estate, who we are proud be be the regional distributors for. This is top class, elegant and packed with delicious berry fruit. The finish is richer, there’s a lovely creaminess through the wine binding the whole package together. One of the UK’s finest examples of sparkling Rose and the perfect treat this year.

Flowers Pinot Noir 2011

They’re expecting flowers. For the witty, hilarious or immensely hayfeverous amongst us this is a fantastic alternative to the last minute £70 interflora scramble. A sensational Pinot Noir from the coast of Sonoma County, California. The nose is incredibly pure fruit, rose petal and an earthy maturity. The palate is concentrated and just pure delight. Loads of those same lovely fruits, freshness but real class. One of California's finest Pinot Noirs and something to really relish in.

Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur

Every Valentines Princess needs a bottle of this in their lives. This gin liqueur contains real Unicorn tears. To give Unicorn tears its unique taste, the beautiful beasts are fed entire wheelbarrows of citrus fruit, oranges, juniper berries, bunches of coriander, and sticks of liquorice. Then the tears are blended with an iridescent glitter that will blow your mind.
To unleash their magical powers: Swirl the bottle. You too can now embody the purity, power and potency of nature’s most sacred steed. Behold its shimmering majesty. Consume the mythical spirit. It magically disappears rather quickly too.
