Introducing the new vintage of Rathfinny's signature Sussex Sparkler, a lovely rich Blanc de Noirs composed of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grown on their estate vineyard in the South Downs near Alfriston.
The blend favours Pinot Noir at 81% (to 19% Meunier) and is aged for 36 months on lees after complete malolactic fermentation (a process that softens the acidity and broadens the palate). This makes for a very gastronomic sparkling wine with rich stone fruit, red berry and pastry flavours before finishing dry and clean. It's super tasty now but will certainly develop nicely with age also.

This was my second visit to Butlers Wine Cellar and on both occasions the service has been wonderful. The young lady assisted me and my wife on a number of purchases of wine and sherry and seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Having tasted them she was spot on with her comments on each bottle. I would highly recommend anyone to use this shop.
