Update 29th June
We were pleased to see many shops re open last week but unfortunately, we will not be opening our doors for retail in the current environment.
Our shops are small and it would be very difficult for us to maintain safe social distancing.
We feel it would be safer to stick with our online delivery service at the moment, and introduce a click and collect service every Friday from our Kemp Town shop, until a safer time.
We will be introducing a click and collect service every Friday from our Kemp Town shop starting from July 3rd from 3-7pm.
Where? Kemp Town, 88 St. George's Road, Brighton BN2 1EE
Orders must be placed by midday each Wednesday, for collection on Friday the same week.
Any orders placed after this time will automatically be moved to collection the following Friday.
We will not be able to sell anything at the door so will only offer collections. Please do not pop to the shop on Fridays to buy wine, you must order online for collection only.
We cannot serve you if you try to buy wines on the door.
Orders can still be placed online for local and national deliveries too.
When you arrive at the Kemp Town shop to collect wines, you will need to provide proof of purchase on your phone. We ask you all to respect the 2 metre distancing while waiting outside the shop.
Orders can be placed now for the first collection date on Friday 3rd July.
These orders must be placed by 12pm on Wednesday 1st July.
An example of the click and collect option will look like this. Choose the store, select the next available Friday and checkout as normal.
Update Monday 15th June
Today many shops are opening for retail again and we wish everyone the best of luck. We will not be opening our doors for retail in the current environment. Our shops are small and it would be very difficult for us to maintain safe social distancing.

For us we must be very careful as Henry is about to start his isolation period before surgery for prostate cancer in 3 weeks time.
We will however be introducing a click and collect service every Friday from our Kemp Town shop starting from July 3rd.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and we hope you will continue to keep enjoying some of our fantastic wines.
Update 9th June
As always thank you for your ongoing support. We are still operating with minimal staff within the government guidelines. This will continue this service for the forseeable future and we will be opening up a click and collect option from July. This will mean orders can be placed by midday each Wednesday for collections that Friday from our Kemp Town shop.
We will keep you updated on the finer details soon.
Update 5th May
We want to stress, in the current climate, please allow plenty of time for your wine deliveries. The courier companies are handling overwhelming numbers of parcels. We have to be realistic. A lot of parcels for national deliveries are still arriving next day, but you should allow two to three days. If you require orders the weekend please place them by Wednesday am at the latest.
For Bank Holiday local deliveries, please ensure your orders are sent to us by Thursday 7th May at 2pm to avoid disappointment.

As I'm sure you can appreciate we are getting inundated with online orders and we are doing our very best to fulfill these as quickly as possible. We have very limited staff, so please bear with us while we try to fulfil your orders.
Some items may not be available but we can always offer like for like substitutions, or refund items if that is preferable. It would be helpful when ordering, if you state whether you are happy for us to provide suitable substitutions.
We will be placing controls on the volume of orders, much like other companies, to allow us time to process them. If we have a sudden surge, we might need to pause our website until we can get on top of them, we will then re open the online ordering channel.
We cannot accept any orders over the phone and will not be able to pick up answerphone messages as both shops are now closed.
We can offer local deliveries Tuesday - Thursday for the same or next day delivery, and National deliveries can be dispatched Monday - Thursday for next day delivery.
Please be advised that there are a lot of parcels being dispatched across the country, so deliveries might be delayed by a day or two.
We are maintaining the highest standard of hygiene, limited contact, social distancing and will deliver orders to your doorsteps for you to take inside.
We will not require signatures. Our suppliers are adopting the same process. We very much appreciate your ongoing support.
Stay safe and healthy.
Henry, Cassie and Team Butler
