The hipster community was going crazy last week about some exclusive intimate gigs by some dodgy character called Prince. It seems that if you weren’t there, you’ll never be anywhere. So, not to be outdone Butler’s hosted its own equivalent event with a flying visit from Portuguese wine legend Dirk Niepoort, who breezed into town on Friday with a selection of bottles that were as inspirational and stimulating as any overwrought guitar solo. And the crowd – thirty lucky individuals - went wild for him.
Maternity Worldwide are excited to announce our Wine Tasting event in Brighton on Friday 28th March hosted by Butlers Wine Cellar.
The evening will include a tasting of 6 different wines including a glass of fizzy on arrival and some nibbles to soak it up!
This Friday sees the Niepoort tasting hosted by Dirk Niepoort, arrive at Butlers Wine Cellar, Brighton. Niepoort is an independent family business, much like Butlers, but with vineyards, established in 1842.
Dirk is the 5th generation to working in the business alongside his wife Verena, Henry is 2nd generation!
Spotted in the UK, Henry has managed to get Dirk to put in a rare personal appearance to lead this event, so if it's anything like our last Portuguese tasting we should be in for a great evening.
We are happy to report that Wednesday nights Bordeaux tasting was a great success. The wines showed very well and are well priced.
We knew the wines were good when we imported them, but hadn't had a chance to put them in front of a receptive audience. We have had to order another shipment off the back of the tasting, this should hopefully be arriving in two weeks.
